This is a...PROMISING MANGA!
It's ongoing with a few chapters translated (as I wrote this entry) but ever since I've read it back then in 2014, I can't get it out of my memories. I always have thoughts like: I wonder if Ano Ko no got updated or something like that (tehee~ <3!).
The story is about 3 childhood friends (2 boys & 1 girl, yeah, grasp the future?) whom have promised to each other that they will become superstars when they grow up. The other two succeeded (almost) but one was left behind, a boy called Yori (that damn hot bastard >///<). If you're thinking he became an outcast because he has no talent, you're mistaken. Well, on his case, he also thinks that way (i.e. that becoming a superstar isn't just for him). We can't blame him. That's what other people who "envy" his gifts make things appear like. But Yori is actually a very talented actor, to the point that even with a minor role, he can overpower the person assigned to the leading role. Subaru (the other guy who's also a hottie) is well aware of Yori's disposition, and as a good friend, tries to help him overcome his illusionary obstacles. However, there's one thing he can't give to Yori no matter what (despite those two being good buddies)...it's Shizuku (our cute heroine). There enters the love triangle, yey!
Stories about popular people or celebrities are really my type (that reminds me! I should make a Skip Beat review too!). Maybe because it's natural for people to like that feeling, imagining you're someone who's really popular (even an introvert like me, wut?!). Other than my personal issues, the story is really great although it has slow updates. Anyway I can say those updates are really worth waiting. Not to mention, it has great visuals too.
This manga is very highly recommended!
Read it while eating some cheesecakes.
